Assistant Project Worker with ‘Faith in Scarborough Schools’
Over the last twenty years or so, ‘Faith in Scarborough Schools’ has built up a solid reputation in the Scarborough area for innovative, ecumenical and inclusive Christian assemblies and support for schools with R.E. and after school activities. We are a charity that is affiliated to and responsible to Churches Together in Scarborough.
We are looking for a motivated, flexible and enthusiastic assistant project worker to work alongside our current project worker in the delivery of high-quality assemblies and other schools’ work including some holidays and after-schools clubs. This is a faith-based post so ideally the successful candidate would be a member of a local church and supportive of CTiS. Experience of working with children and/or young people, ideally in a schools setting is required. Ultimately it is not the experience but the attitude of the worker that is vital in this relationally based Christian youth work project.
You would be willing to work flexibly. Your main commitments would be administration, including fund raising and producing regular newsletters, taking school assemblies in local primary schools, supporting the project worker in innovating and delivering group work and developing the project for a new season. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
Hours: 12 hours per week across 3 days, including Fridays. Salary: £8.21/hour
